In this class I was challenged to explore my interests and likes, and the way I approach the world. During the first project (click escape) we were supposed to create a space or a room. I explored what made a space comfortable for me, regardless of outer appearance to others. For the second project we had to create an alter ego and make works as if they made them. My alter ego was centred around my political views and focused on finding a way to express them without holding myself back because of a fear of judgement.
This class really got me to confront myself and helped me find a way to express myself. It came with some failed projects and ideas, but they helped me find a different idea to continue working on.
I had a hard time asking for help during the first project. I worked mainly by myself and I noticed that that held me back. I remembered this for my next projects and talking to others about what I was working on really helped me in my process. I learned that to help develop your own worldview it is beneficial to hear what other people think.
